Kelly e. Keough believes that self-reliance is the key to individual success. She holds an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Her media credits include writing and hosting a 26-episode reality cooking TV series, The Sweet Truth, on Veria/ZLiving cable network. As a nonfiction writer, she published the first sugar-free/gluten-free cookbook in the US titled, Sugar-free Gluten-free Baking and Desserts. Her follow up vegan cookbook, The 100 Best Vegan Recipes for your Gluten-free Kitchen, and recipes inspired two online 8-week sugar-free/gluten courses on DailyOm.com, an inspirational website reaching a million and a half subscribers. 

Currently, Kelly teaches in the FYWP in the English department at UMASS Lowell. Her full-time teaching experience includes holding the position of Program Director of Media Communication and Professional Writing at Mount Ida College in Newton. As an instructor of media communication, much of Kelly’s college teaching experience has been at Massbay and Middlesex Community College. Her passion is teacher training and academic leadership; she recently presented at the Massachusetts Community College’s Teaching Learning Student Development conference during the spring of 2017.
